I'm going to put my neck out here and say Depeche Mode's Enjoy The Silence, in my opinion, is one of the greatest songs ever written.
I only became aware of its genius in recent years. Its always been there, but it kinda showed itself like the monster that really has been hiding under my bed for years
From the guitar refrain to that major/minor vocal melody change....its impressively stark and uncompromising
I could talk my usual load of bollocks as always, but sometimes you just love a song above and beyond what's acceptable, and you've absolutely no idea why.
