This song has been part of me since I first heard it.
With such brilliant technique and fertile musical imagination....they just leapt out from the depths with this one.
Wild and inventive.

It is simply heavy music perfection.

It made an indelible imprint on me and heavy
music....music that is heavier than the Earth's gravitational pull!

Honestly, it's a ferocious feast!.......what I'm hearing is the sonic equivalent of the human soul and the world's elements being crushed into powder..... then mixed it all up with 100% proof vodka....
.....mix it all into a dough, then cook it at the temperatures of Hell, until baked.
Remove from oven
Leave at room temperature for 5 mins
Eat
Spew out
Rub it in your face
Die of metal overdose!
Repeat.

....I'd even compare it to a masterful classical great...on par with composers such as Bach, Mozart, Handel and Verdi.

Seriously.

....let me explain....classical music and metal are strange bedfellows.....but think of the enormous dynamics and complexity.... orchestras have strength in numbers, easily packing 70 musicians onstage, while metal bands pack the same sonic punch...
...and it's the sheer theatrics of these genres that draws a certain kind of listener.

Metalheads and classical lovers share a love of the grandiose, and though undeniably different experiences, both genres fulfill these listeners' desire to experience unique drama.

Master of Puppets is a maelstrom of angry chords and surging crescendos. Swathes of voluminous throb then a section of ambience and calm before being shoved back into the hurricane.

Total surrender to it is required to truly climb inside and feel it, but the willing will be rewarded.
